New Spaceloft® Insul-Cap™ Improves Thermal Efficiency of Wall Framing

Saves energy costs without altering standard construction

Aspen Aerogels recently introduced Spaceloft Insul-Cap, a new insulation product that eliminates thermal bridging and adds R-value to wood- and steel-frame buildings, improving their energy efficiency.

Spaceloft Insul-Cap is made of a 3/8" thick strip of flexible aerogel blanket, the world's most efficient insulation material. The strips are applied onto a building's framing, inside or outside, prior to sheathing.   More


Aspen Aerogels to Insulate 21-Kilometer Deep Sea Gas Pipeline in Brazil


Spaceloft® insulation saves steel costs, space, and installation time

Aspen Aerogels has been awarded a contract to supply its advanced Spaceloft aerogel insulation for a 21-kilometer, undersea natural gas pipeline being built by Technip for Petrobras in Brazil.

This will be the first pipeline in Brazil to use a pipe-in-pipe design. Technip chose Spaceloft insulation because it offers the lowest thermal conductivity while being much thinner than other pipe insulations.   More


More Than 20 Companies Attend Slovenian Seminar on Aerogel Solutions

Aerogel Slovenia, a fabricator/partner of Aspen Aerogels, hosted a major seminar this summer on aerogel insulation applications, part fabrication techniques, building construction solutions, and more. Aspen Aerogels engineers and scientists joined more than 20 companies from across Europe at the full-day learning session in Ljubjana.
